Student Expectations

Students must maintain a minimum of a "MS" , Meeting Standards in all core subject areas which are Math, Reading, Language Arts, Science , Art, Technology as well as Work Study Skills.

All class and homework assignments that are
missed during G&T instruction must be completed. It is the student's responsibility to attain assignments from their teachers. 

All general curriculum class assignments must be up-to-date and in good standing. 

Students must maintain the appropriate behaviors in their homeroom class, the Gifted classroom, and on the school bus.  Students must be respectful of their teacher and their classmates.  

Students must complete all Gifted Projects and assignments in a timely manner and put forth their best effort.

Classroom Expectations      

Respectfully utilize classroom resources
and return all materials at the end of class. 

Collaborate respectfully with peers. 

Persevere during
problem-based learning. 

Remain on-task throughout class. 

*Missing assignments in the general curriculum may require a temporary four-week pause in gifted instruction.  This is necessary to give the student time to concentrate and improve on their assignments in the general curriculum classroom.  

**Student suspensions will be reviewed after the four week period and  a decision will be made whether or not the student will continue in the gifted program. 

*** Failing grades in the general curriculum will require a discontinuation of gifted services.
